Review by Trip advisor

During our small get-a-way to Las Vegas this July we researched restaurants rated on TRIP ADVISOR. We found Firefly. A little off the strip but easy to find with our GPS. Their tapas is some of the best we ever had. We went twice during our 4 day stay. That is how much we loved it. The sparkling sangria is a must try. For a pitcher only 12 dollars if you go before 6. My favorite dish was the bacon wrapped dates in a red wine reduction. I couldn’t get enough. The service is good. Restaurant is a younger crowd and a bit noisey but the food more than makes up for it.

Yahoo!’s categories for Del Frisco’s are incorrect. The average entree (which includes no side dishes) is $30 to $50. Also, the ambience is business casual, not just casual. Fortunately, my wife and I got there quite early and there was not a crowd to frown at my shorts and t-shirt.

That being said, Del Frisco’s is a really, really good steak house. We had an appetizer of crab cakes and marinated shrimp. It was a great warm up for our steaks, which were wonderful cuts cooked exactly as we ordered. We also got a side of some sort of spinach that was really good too.

If you’re willing to spend upwards of $50-$100 per person (with drinks, appetizers and sides), Del Frisco’s is an excellent choice.

Speaking of drinks, Del Frisco’s has a large wine list that should take care of any thirst for fruit of the vine. Finally, there is a room (more or less a bar) with monitors showing sports and well suited to enjoying a cigar.
